Once you’ve received your Eurail pass and Eurail timetable, and after you’ve chosen which trains you’d like to take according to your travel plans, be sure you make a reservation on that train as soon as possible. This is not available to Eurail pass owners online. To ensure you receive a seat on the train you intend to take, make your reservation at the train station before the day you travel and no later than the day your intend to travel. Not all trains require reservations but it’s first come first serve with reservations getting first dibs. If your trip is built around making each train on time, then take this extra step.  Remember, your eurail train tickets do not include reservations unless you make them.
