Using BOTOX in eyelid surgery

BOTOX is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow’s feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck, where it is made from a purified protein, BOTOX injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. If this happens, correction may require a forehead lift or a secondary eyelid procedure, where laser skin resurfacing for static wrinkling of the eyelids and cosmetic for dynamic (moving) crows feet may both provide additional appearance to the orbital area. There will be some swelling and bulging in the forehead for a few days with improvement at a week, and the eyes will continue to improve over months and look their best at 4 to 6 months.
