Some Basic Wine Making Equipment

Other than a primary and secondary fermenter and a carboy, here are some additional basic wine making equipment you will need:

A racking cane is a piece of plastic siphon tube which is used to transfer the wine from one vessel to another.  The racking cane contains a cap at the bottom end to lessen the amount of sediment as the wine is transferred to the clean vessel.

A bottle filter is used in the wine making process to transfer the wine from bottle to bottle.  The flow is controlled by a trigger which is part of the bottle filter.
