Going Well Together - Rare Coins

There are many kinds of collectors across the US and around the world. Name a product or an item and you are likely to find a collector for it. What is becoming more common is to see cross collections, especially when they are related to each other, for example, rare coins and rare stamps. While initially, you may think that these two have nothing to do with each other; this is a misnomer that I wish to correct. Often commemorative stamps and coins are released together as a set. In addition, many rare stamps are set into silver and take on the look of a rare coin collection. Also, some collections are tied together by dates of release, showing off a stamp collection with stamps that came out at relatively the same time as the coin, or with the same person on it (Susan B. Anthony, Abraham Lincoln, etc.). The truth is, these two hobbies actually go very well together.
