One of my favorite uncles is my father’s sister’s husband, Mike. Uncle Mike is one of those guys that is almost impossible not to like. His somewhat-sarcastic sense of humor is the spark behind his charisma. He’s funny, yet in a very matter of fact kind of way. For years, uncle Mike has been in the construction business, primarily as a roofing contractor but also doing other things as well. Last year, he had a serious fall on a job leaving him unable to work. His saving grace was the fact he had an accident sickness unemployment protection plan for just such an occurrence. It’s going to literally help him get back on his feet again.
