How Does Digital Imaging Work?

Around the world photographers and graphic designers rely on the technique of digital imaging. Digital imaging takes an electronic image, a photograph or a scanned document and converts it into a series of electronic dots called pixels. Once the image is digitized, it can be easily stored on a hard drive or a memory stick. The digitized image is then opened in digital imaging software. The software has many tools and controls that help to recreate the image, change its color and appearance as well as improve the overall quality of the image. After the imaging wok is done, the image can then be transferred to another computer or a print out can be taken.
