There was a major accident on the interstate near our home. All of the injured drivers and passengers were taken to the closest hospital. My husband was in that same hospital recovering from a surgery that he recently had. I was visiting him. I had gone to the hospital directly after work, so I drove through a fast food restaurant and grabbed my dinner. I took it to the hospital with me, and I ate my dinner when my husband ate the meal that the hospital had prepared for him. I forgot to get a drink at the restaurant, so I walked to the vending area to grab a soft drink. The drink vending machines were all empty. Apparently they had been emptied by all of the people who were there with the accident victims. A nurse kindly brought me a container of fruit juice. It was very good. Since then, I have been buying it rather than soda for myself. I guess the empty vending machine were a blessing in disguise. I had been drinking so much soda, and it is full of sugar. Usually fruit juice contains a lot of sugar too, but this particular brand has no added sugar. It is natural fruit juice.
